Unbelievable yet true! Who would have thought that the humble kitchen table can actually save you money and keep your room a nice constant temperature!
The ZEF Climatic Table
Well thanks to French design duo Jean-Sébastien Lagrange and Raphaël Ménard, a table is now a real alternative to having an air conditioner or heater in your kitchen or dining room. The ZEF Climatic Table has been designed with an oak top and angled legs and looks just like an ordinary trestle table from a distance.
The Secret Lies In The Layers
But take a look underneath and you will see there are more layers to discover. Several layers of phase-changing materials (PCMs) are joined between the bottom of the oak top and the legs. These PCMs work by softening and absorbing heat when the temperature rises and then hardening and releasing that stored heat when the temperature drops.
Makes A Difference In Small Spaces
Perfect for rooms which do not have any heating or cooling appliances, the ZEF Climatic Table is great for use within apartments and small or sunny rooms. Any buyers for this power bill shrinking table?
